Questions about Membership

1.

How do I join CMS?: Fill out an application and pay the dues. Membership forms are available at CMS sponsored races OR right here on line.

What does it cost to join CMS?: See the details on the membership form.

Is CMS just for the really, really fast runners?: Absolutely NOT. CMS is for runners of all speeds. Trust me...this I know.

Hey! I AM a really, really fast runner. Is CMS for me?: Absolutely. Can you go under 4:00 for the mile? You're not the only one!

What benefits do I get from joining CMS?: See the club Programs for interesting goodies, including discounts, gear, coaching, sponsored races, social events, racing teams, printed newsletter, the famous weekly 5Ks, and, of course, the web site with schedules, results, and cool stuff.

I sent in my membership form and money, but I have not received my membership card yet. What do I do?: Contact the membership secretary.

I did not receive the printed newsletter. What do I do?: Contact the membership secretary. Ensure you have the correct mailing address on your membership form. Also ensure that you indicated on your membership form that you wanted the printed newsletter.

**Questions about** **Races and Results**
1.	I ran in the XYZ race, but cannot find my name in the results in the printed newsletter. What do I do? Oh gee. Too late for this edition. Ensure that your CMS affiliation is listed on the entry form.
2.	I ran in the XYZ race, but cannot find my name in the results on the CMS web site. What do I do? Email the details to the web guy, who will try to update the on-line results.
3.	I ran in the XYZ race, but cannot find my name in the results posted on Cool Running. What do I do? Contact Cool Running, even if the race was sponsored by CMS.
4.	Hey! You spelled my name wrong, or you got my gender wrong, or my age is wrong, or my time is wrong, or my club affiliation is wrong, or my home town is wrong. How do I get it changed? For the printed newsletter...sorry, too late! For the web site, email the details to the web guy, who will try to update the on-line results.
5.	When is the XYZ race? Check the schedule on-line.
6.	I checked the schedule on-line. I still cannot find the XYZ race. Now what? Try one of the other local or national schedules. If it is not posted on the CMS web site, the web guy does not have it.
7.	I cannot find the results for the XYZ race anywhere on the web. When will they be published? Race results are posted as soon as the web guy receives them. Perhaps you would like to help out in this process, eh?

**Questions about** **Coaching and Practices**
1.	Does CMS offer coaching? Yes. Sponsored coaching is available for ALL levels and all ages.
2.	I run the mile in (pick one): 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 9:00, 10:00 etc. Which coach should I look for? Best bet is to contact the CMS head coach, who can point you in the right direction.
3.	When and where are the coached practices? See Coaching.
4.	Who are the CMS coaches? see Coaching and contact the coaches listed. Or contact the CMS head coach.
5.	I live in Anytown, does anyone run here? You need to do a little hunting. You can check out the weekly 5K and ask around. Or, you can visit the monthly Board Meeting and ask there. Or, show up at any CMS sponsored race, and ask there. Or, you can post a message on the CMS Message Board and see if you get a response.
