1999 CMS 52-Week 5K Series Race #34

Orchard Hills AC,
Lancaster, MA
August 18, 1999

A season high 48 materialized for CMS 52-Week 5K #34.

Hey, Julie, guess what? After you left, you won the random draw. It can be picked up the next time you run in the series.

In a very interesting development, McCusker Bob of HTC eaked out a win over McCusker Kevin of CMS.  And, Eric McCusker rolled home in a nice 20:15.  The last time the Web Guy imagined a relationship between two close-finishing, same-name competitors, he was chased by an angry husband.  Yes, he got it wrong.  But this time?  Is there a relationship between the older Bob and the younger Kevin?  And how about the Eric branch?  Hmmm.  Bears investigation.  Where's Ken Starr when you need him?  Anyway, the McCuskers took the weekly same name team victory over Team Clifford.

We enjoyed race #34. To answer some questions from the website... Bob McCusker and I are brothers. Eric is Bob's son. The comments didn't mention it, but Kelly (Bob's daughter) was the 3rd female finisher!

Thank you,
       Kevin McCusker, CMS, Ashby
P.S. There are more where we came from!

Team Worcester re-asserted weekly dominance.  Andy Gallivan and Justin Hagenbuch keyed the town-team victory.

It has been recently stated in a highly reputable eastern publication (the Hockomock Swamp Rat) that CMS is no longer an ogre.  Hmm...have to work on that. Ogres are good!  Just ask any Yankee fan.
