barryThis time around, Andy Gallivan took a run at Tim McCormick. Andy, banking on his killer finishing kick, tried to lull Tim into a false sense of confidence by wheazing loudly and moaning slowly. The strategy almost worked. However, Tim shifted gears at the end to continue his weekly win streak. The pace was easy-peasy for Tim, considering that he has recently motored under 15:00 for 5K.
Team Worcester, led by Gallivan and Justin Hagenbuck, took the town-team honors. They now own bragging rights for one week.
Roger Nasatka recorded race number 5,890 in the month of August, give or take a few dozen. So far.
NMC sent a scout team to check out CMS. CMS thoroughly trounced the NMC spies. Take that!
No one from out-of-state competed, thus forfeiting any chance at the $17 Million out-of-state prize (payable in monopoly money). The in-state prize is first dibs on the Polar soda.
