barryCMS 52-Week 5K #26 doubled as the CMS Summer Members Race. No entry fee was charged and all runners, volunteers and family members were treated to a post-race catered meal consisting of salad, chicken, rice pilaf, beans, cornbread and Polar beverages. So much food was ordered that everyone present was encouraged to take home a second meal. Pictures! We have pictures!
In addition to the catered meal, the 89 runners and 30+ volunteers were eligible for a random draw of over 70 prizes ranging from Reebok running shoes and suits to T-shirts leftover from Stu's 30K.
On an evening when the race time temperature was in the low 90's with high humidity, the host Orchard Hills Athletic Club's outdoor swimming pool and waterslide was available to all.
