Who are these geniuses, anyway? Whoever made out the CMS 52-Week 5K Series schedule for 1999, and decided to continue the series on Saturday mornings through the 17th of April, apparently forgot that Jeremiah's 5K was scheduled for the same day (April 10th), same location (Worcester State College) and the same course as the 5K Series race. Only the starting times were different - 10:00AM for Jeremiah's, 9:00AM for the 52-Weeker.
Only thirteen opted for the 52-Week 5K. None of these did a double, although four - Paul Chamberlin, Ken Deary, Nancy Roberts and Jim Wicka - stayed around and helped with the timing and scoring of Jeremiah's.
