Worcester, MA - December 20, 1997

Having seen the results of the CMS 52-Week Series races posted on the Web, Dan Lewbart of Thorofare, NJ (a suburb of Philadelphia) decided to make the December 20th edition part of a holiday odyssey. Leaving Thorofare the day before the race, he traveled as far as New York, where he stayed the night with friends. Lewbart then left New York at 5:30AM and made it to the race registration by 8:30AM, a half hour before the start. After the race he continued on his journey which was to take him to see relatives in New Hampshire and friends in Vermont. Clearly, Dan's New Jersey background established him as an outstanding runner, person, and all-around human being.
