Hats off to Neil Lacey, who got caught in traffic while driving to Devens, and had to start his 5K run a little late -- exactly 5:15 after the rest of the pack had begun their run.

Undeterred, Neil managed to pass quite a few of the runners who'd started ahead of him. (His "chip" finish time was 22:38, good for 17th place.)

... What if Neil had started the race an extra five minutes later? Maybe he could have caught the rest of the starters and finished 1st overall? Hmmmm........
