What a difference a week makes! Last week, we questioned, if there were no runners, was it still a race? This week, coming on the heels of Spring, 35 runners once again came out to Worcester State to travel the well worn route around the neighborhood. Also, in honor of the Boston Marathon, we had a second wave of 2 runners/bandits go off 10 minutes after the lead group!

Mike Maceiko was first for the men while Shanna Hauver came ready to compete amongst anyone willing to show up and compete she did, as she took first for the women! As usual, we had a few newcomers to our race for which we're always grateful! Of note, Ashley O'Loughlin completed her first 5k and this was Amy Sorensen's first 5k with us! We hope to see them both back for more!

Reminder, next week will be our last Saturday morning 5k at Worcester State College until October. We will be moving up to Devens for our spring/summer series starting on Wednesday, April 4th. The race will start at 6pm. The course remains the same at Devens; however, we will be meeting at Vicksburg Sq on Buena Vista St instead of across the field at the gazebo.
