A huge number of sub-20:00 finishers at this week's 5K race.

Mike Maceiko led the charge, with an impressive 15:44 finish. Greg Ward (16:15) placed tops for CMS and 2nd overall -- not bad for a training run, after commuting by bicycle from West Boylston(!). ... Rounding out the top five were Coach Maceiko's track team members from WPI, Alex White and Eugene Douglas, and CMS "Summer Series" regular Mike Thornton.

The women's race came down to a sprint along Chandler Street, with Carol Hurley (20:55) outkicking Shanna Hauver (21:00). Finishing a strong 3rd was Nancy Roberts (22:33).
