Can you say Tieuli, Tieuli, Tieuli, Tieuli four times fast? It's definitely a mouthful but that's how many members of the Tieuli clan (Alan the dad and three sons: Matt, Cameron, and Chris) showed up for a go at it at this week's race. If you weren't able to say that four times fast that's ok, because it was just as difficult for this week's runners who tried to keep up with the eldest son Matt Tieuli. He ran CMS's new all-terrain course in a most impressive 17:03. CMSer Brad Fors though kept Matt honest by tailing him throughout the race and finishing with a most noble time of 17:25. The Wojtas clan made a bit of noise in their own right this week as well. CMSer Peter Wojtas was MIA this season as he was working out of state. Well ol' Petey laced up the shoes, shot off at the starting gun, and proceeded to cruise the course in a speedy 19:45 giving him sole rights to the masters title this week. (Question is: Was Pete really working out of state or was he in Colorado for a year doing altitude training to be primed for this week's race?) Pat Wojtas, Peter's sister, also grabbed the gold in the female senior division by recording a time of 32:18. Of course the third Wojtas, Pat's brother Pat outdid both of them by winning the post-race random draw for a highly-coveted CMS water bottle. In spite of not being part of the Wojtas clan, CMSer John Hendrick of Berlin managed to also win a water bottle in the random draw. Paul Lambert of Leominster was the first senior across the line in a time of 21:14, Jayna McCarron was the first female through the orange CMS pylons in a time of 22:18, and Orchard Hills' Andrea Ashe was the first female master, passing the finish line in a time of 25:06.
