It was a summer sizzler this week with race time temps soaring in the 90's! Of course the temps were cool compared to the flames coming off CMS'er Danny Savukoski's running shoes as he scorched the blacktop and won the whole enchilada in a fiery 17:45. This is 20 seconds faster than his previous week's time when it was 30 degrees cooler. Also, a big congrats to Danny on his recent graduation from Fitchburg State College!

2nd overall and 1st master was John Kelley of Orange in a time of 19:14. 1st female was Ellen MacGilvray of Hudson in a time of 20:45. Two seconds behind her was George Graves of Baldwinville who captured the men's senior division.

For the third consecutive week Peter Orni took home the men's veteran's title in a time of 21:31. In the senior female division, the trophy went to Diane Mitchell of Fitchburg in a time of 30:13.

Congrats to Pete McCarron who completed his first marathon and did it with style by posting a sub-four hour time while cruising through the scenic roads of Burlington, Vermont (click on KEYBANK link below).
