Give a CMS'er a lemon and they make the club some lemonade!

• Case in Point 1: Danny Savukoski had to put a hold on his college racing schedule this past year due to sickness, and in his attempt at getting back into his racing groove he won this week's race.
• Case in Point 2: Charlie Salmond spent a decent portion of 2003 on the CMS disabled list, but through patience and rehab he has come back. Proving this point wasn't difficult. He just so happened to be the first senior and second overall in this week's race.
• Case in Point 3: Andres Salmeron last year became a proud father for the first time and as such had to put his training on the back burner in order to pony up to his fatherly responsibilities. However, Andres was still able snag the bronze at this week's race.

Now that's what I call lemonade, kids!

All the way from Tucson, AZ and bringing her flying feet with her, was the first female to break the tape, Jen Wilcox. Although she didn't have to travel nearly as far as Jen, Darlene Murray of Sterling also had a need for speed and was first female CMS'er, first female master, and second female overall.

Rounding out the award categories were the following CMS'ers: Bryan Johnson taking first in the master's division, Peter Orni taking first in the veteran's division, and Pat Wojtas taking first female senior and also winning an oh so sweet pair of genuine CMS running gloves from the weekly random draw.
