The final 5K of the Winter 2003-04 Season! Brad Fors (17:12) had an easy time outpacing Scott Deslongchamps, Mathias Ihlenfeld, and all the other competitors to win the overall title. Barbara McManus won the ladies race this week with an even 19:00 finish. And Marty Ellowitz (19:26) & Steve Allen (19:47) earned age-group honors in the 40-49 and 50-59 divisions. The prize for "Longest Commute" went to Jennifer Jose from St. Augustine, Florida(!); Scott Fairlee from New York City drove a mere 3 1/2-hours to participate in our 5K race.

Many thanks to our gracious hosts at Worcester State College, especially Professor Richard Hunt, for the use of their Gymnasium lobby during the winter months.

... Linda Usher will be coordinating the informal 5K training races at Worcester State -- still Saturday mornings at 9:00, but not part of the official CMS 52-Week Series. If interested in participating, please contact Linda by email (juniperhill "at" charter "dot" net).

And now the 52-Week Series moves to its summer home at the Orchard Hills Athletic Club, in Lancaster MA. The Summer 5K races will be run Wednesdays at 6pm starting this Wednesday, April 7. The race directors of the summertime series are ... Sarah Fullen and Steve Veach!
