Matt Clark and Barbara McManus kicked off the 2004 edition of the 52 Week Series by defending their titles from last week's end-of-2003 race. Matt's 17:25 was over a minute quicker than the time of the #2 runner, and Barb's 18:53 was good for 3rd place overall.

Doug Usher (19:38) and Linda Usher (22:43) each earned an age-group prize -- the first time in our 5K series that a husband-wife team accomplished such a feat?

And Paul Lemerise "took it easy" this week as he cruised to victory in the seniors division in a time of 20:15. We wish good luck to Paul as he returns to his home in Switzerland (... by running his way northward and across the Arctic Circle, no doubt).
