The biggest surprise at this week's 5K was the summer-like weather: sunny skies and temperatures approaching a record high for this date -- it was already 65 degrees at race time (9:00 am). But there were no surprises at the winner's podium: Scott Deslongchamps' time of 17:22 earned him his second win in as many weeks; and Carol Hurley's 19:50 added another ladies victory to her long list. |

Many of the runners had such a pleasant time, they didn't want to stop at 5K.... After finishing our race at Worcester State they hopped in their cars and drove to Boylston to compete in Dick Hunt's "Deer Run" 5-Miler. (For the write-up of that race, please visit the CMS web site later this afternoon!) |
