With the race start time "springing ahead" to 6:30, both runners and volunteers took advantage of the more accommodating time.

As with last week Mike Thornton and Bob Johnson battled again down to the wire but this battle wasn't for first place. The big guns were brought in from Worcester with Matt Logalbo winning in a time of 18:14 and Emily Hogan taking first female in a time 18:50. Both were rewarded handsomely with hooded sweatshirts for their efforts.

Mike Sikorski has been seen doing serious altitude training in Colorado or maybe that is serious trail running with his dog in Sterling. Either way, whatever he's doing, it's working. He set another sub-20 personal record this week with a time of 19:45.

Rounding out the awards ceremony were Bob Johnson - 1st Master; Mark Wigler - 1st Senior; Jim Daley - 1st Veteran; Deb Willard-Parker - 1st Female Master; the unstoppable Pat Wojtas with her 5th straight week as 1st Female Senior; and, of course, CMS's very own Marilou Crohan rounding things out with 1st Female Veteran.
