This week's race saw a nice turnout not just for runners but also for volunteers. Seeing some warm smiles and friendly faces from CMS's yesteryear, along with some new faces from Doherty High, made for a great Wednesday night at the races.

With the absence of Barbara McManus this week, the men were finally able to squeeze out a victory for the first time in 2003 at Orchard Hills. Pat McCormick decided to seize the day by cutting through a strong headwind in a time of 19:04 for the win.

The first female across the line was Cyndi McCullough in a very respectable 21:12. The junior division was well-represented this week with Jayna McCarron running a speedy 21:41 with Doherty High's own Charles Kaneb not far behind in 21:59.

On a final note, kudos to Jim Shope, Ken Robichaud, and Joe Alfano, for toeing the line today after barely 48 hours of Boston marathon recovery time!
