Former Villanova coach Jumbo Elliott once said "Act like a horse. Be dumb. Just run."

The level of genius in that comment was challenged by a roundtable of women runners being held after today's 5K. Three of the women are CMS board members, and there were a few other seasoned runners in the group as well. Were they discussing racing strategy, conditioning, pace, or any other running mystery? Turns out these wise women were talking about training, sort of: potty training. The gem was the hint that, after a long or hard run, use a handicapped stall in the restroom if possible (the bars will help you to stand back up).

Congratulations to the top CMS racers today, Barbara McManus and Pat McCormick. They duked it out to the finish line.

Reminder: this Saturday, April 5, will be our final 5K of the season at Worcester State College. (It will take place at 9am, an hour before the Jeremiah's Inn 5K race.)
The 52-Week Series will shift to its summer home in Lancaster on Wednesday, April 9, at 6pm.
