... And just like that, the 52-Week Series started again in its winter home, Worcester State College.

Several runners use our 5K races as tune-ups for other races. Some noteworthy examples:

• The winner of this week's race, Scott Deslongchamps (18:26), went on to run in a 10K race in Webster just two hours later.
  
  
• The ladies winner and #2 finisher overall, Barbara McManus (18:37), will be in Scranton, PA next Sunday for the Steamtown Marathon. (Going by finish times alone, Barbara should place in the top five!)
