Thirty-six athletes finished this edition of our friendly little Wednesday 5K.

Finished is the key word. A large (snapping?) turtle was seen on the course. It had been assumed that it knew of our easy-going nature in allowing velocity-challenged participants a head start and then fitting them into the results. Alas, the timers and scores gave up and left just before dark. It was decided that the turtle was a local out for exercise and not part of our event. Maybe next time.
