This week's race featured a visit from an international celebrity: the fella who invented that new-fangled currency, the euro. Speaking through an interpreter, he told us he wished to remain anonymous... wouldn't even let us call him John Euro. (Let's just refer to him as "finisher #22.")
Anyway, he seemed like a nice enough chap until he tried to pay his entry fee with that Monopoly money of his. "Sorry pal," I says, "No four bucks, no race." I think he took it all right -- after the race he polished off half a box of munchkins.
