The autumn portion of the 52-Week Series opened with a roar -- a whopping 45 runners braved rainclouds and headwinds to run in our 5K at Worcester State.
Pat McCormick edged out fellow master Mike Laperle for 1st place this week. Barbara McManus and Carol Hurley ran very strong as usual, finishing 1-2 among the ladies and top-5 overall.
Good luck to the folks at "Why Me?" as they train for the Bermuda Marathon -- they're running to raise funds for Sherry's House, a home for kids with cancer and their families. (Check out the Why Me web site!)
