The winner of this week's 5K was the steamy, steamy weather. So please forgive me if the race wrapup is guest-authored by Peter Mark Roget, writer of the famous thesaurus. Roget provided the synonyms, and your roving reporter slapped 'em together into a poem -- like e. e. cummings, but with punctuation and capitals. 

Unfrozen, lukewarm, tepid, mild; 
Warm, warm as wool, warm as a toast;  
Tropical, estival.

Sultry, stuffy, stifling; 
Sweltering, smoldering, sudorific.  

Oppressive, like an oven, like a furnace; 
Igneous, volcanic, plutonic; 
Hot, piping hot, hot enough to roast an ox. 

Canicular, unquenched, unextinguished;
Not a breath of air.
