Ideal running weather for today's 5K: cool temperatures and just a little rain. Several competitors scored speedy times.

John Kelley (not the Boston Marathon legend) won the race in 16:50. Kevin McCusker and Brad Fors finished close behind, each breaking 17:00 and securing an easy victory for Team Ashby. Bob Girouard and Eddie Gallivan were the first senior and veteran, respectively. And 13-year-old Nick Seretto kicked some major butt, winning the juniors' race in 19:46.

The ladies' race finished in a dead heat between Karma Tousignant and Jen Laurin in 21:45. (Just ask Marc Pilon -- he crossed the tape at the same time!)

The winners of the random draw were Brad Fors and Jenn Gormley.
