The nice weather attracted lots of runners to the first 5K of Spring 2001. Wendel Concgicao jetted in from Brazil to compete in today's race, which he won. Mike Maloney drove from South Grafton to grab the silver, and Joe LePain jogged over from Assumption College to take the bronze. (Assumption also won the team prize.)

The first lady was CMS' own Barbara McManus. Take that, Laura Bush!
