Twenty-four hardy runners (some in shorts!), braved the obscene temperature to play in the snow.
The way I heard it, Andy Gallivan ran the 5K in a pair of shorts, a singlet, and bare feet. Then after winning the race, Andy stayed outside to chat with shivering spectators. Finally before heading inside, Barbara McManus and handful of others congratulated Andy on his 5K victory by pouring a cooler of Polar beverages and ice water on his head.
