CMS 52-Week 5K Series Race #1

Worcester State College
January 6, 2001
Joe Alfano

A light snowfall at race time made for a picture-perfect start to the 2001 season of the 52-Week Series. Bill Gaudere won the race in 17:43, a speedy time considering the slushy road conditions. Finishing second and third were college kiddies Joshua Curtis and Jason Reed; the first female across the tape was Barbara McManus.

Trivia tidbit: With the sole exception of residents of Worcester, no two participants in this week's race came from the same town. (What are the odds?!)
