2000 CMS 52-Week 5K Series Race #33

A beautiful evening for a race. Charlie Salmond crossed the tape comfortably ahead of John Kinnee and Marc Pilon, with veteran Jim Daley close behind. Karma Tousignant was first female, and Jayna McCarron won the junior prize.

With summer drawing to a close, several runners have asked when the 52-Week Series will move to its winter home at Worcester State College. The final 5K of the season at Orchard Hills will be Wednesday, October 4, at 6:30pm. Then the first 5K at Worcester State will be Saturday, October 7, at 9:00am. [The changeover date used to coincide with the end of Daylight Savings Time, but we found that the evening races in late October were run in total darkness. The new date makes for safer road running.]  Of course, you can always find this information on the CMS web site.
