2000 CMS 52-Week 5K Series Race #25

A crazy day.

In order to give CMS 5K runners more room, the registration site for the race was moved from the lobby of the Orchard Hills Athletic Club to the newly constructed picnic area in the Club's back yard, just behind the pool. Those who followed the directions to this picnic area found it spacious, with lots of shade, tables and benches, all surprisingly near the starting line of the race. And parking at the picnic area is a snap: just drive past the Club's main parking lot, and continue along the hill up to the second big lot.

Sure enough, some runners and volunteers had difficulty locating the new registration site... they played it safe by hanging around the starting line until it was race time. But all's well that ends well: everyone enjoyed a beautiful day for a run; and all found their way to the picnic area for post-race scoring.

Please note the new registration site for the Wednesday 5K's: the OHAC's backyard picnic area!
