17 mobile popsicles (the runners) and four stationary icicles (the volunteers) braved the frosty Worcester weather last Saturday morning. It was so cold that the runners were frozen in place. Fortunately, someone mentioned Don Drewniak. This triggered thoughts of Texas, where it is warm, and, thus, everyone defrosted.
The defrosting occurred just in time, as the Route 190 water stop, staffed by Jan McNamara, was running out of ice cubes. Eh?
Team Reed, with Jason and Brian, took both the same name weekly title and the town team title.
