5K races are held every week.  Entry is $2 for CMS members.  A whopping $4 for non-members.  No entry forms.  No applications.  No T-Shirts. Just show up, sign up, pay up, run your tootsies off. Race times are recorded. Results are posted on the CMS website and in the CMS printed Newsletter.    Doughnuts, Polar soda, and water available after the runs.

Races are mostly low-key, although the occasional burner shows up and smokes the field. So, be prepared!  Races are open to everybody: fast, slow, half-slow, half-fast, all races, creeds, and whatever.  Club members, non-club members. Runners, walkers, crawlers.  Humorous and dour. Happy and sad.  Big, tall, and in-between.  Yankee fans.  Under-sized forwards with unstoppable left-handed hook shots.  Even people from New Jersey. 

5Ks are held at two locations through the year:  

1. In the warm months (April thru September, Daylight Savings Time) we run Wednesday evenings, 6:15PM,  at Orchard Hills Athletic Club which is at 90 Duval Road, Lancaster MA. 2. In the cold months, (October to April, Standard Time) we run at Worcester State College, Chandler Avenue, Worcester on Saturday mornings, 9AM. Register in the gymnasium lobby.
